Anton Heyboer, Kip, a red mixed-media work with hand signature, original edition from 1980–1990, 58 x 48 cm with frame, created in the Netherlands and sold by Galerie.
Description from the seller
Due to his unconventional lifestyle, Anton Heyboer belonged to the most eccentric Dutch artists of the past decades. His turbulent lifestyle manifested itself in five marriages. He also described himself as 'the Robin Hood of the art world', referring to his high artistic productivity. Heyboer was trained as a mechanical engineer. After World War II he began drawing, albeit still in a traditional style. Between 1954 and 1957 he developed his own philosophical framework on which his abstract artworks originated. Yet there are always figurative elements present in his paintings and etchings. He also clarified the themes of his work with text, in which human relationships often play a role.
Dimensions: 38 x 29 cm
Dimensions with frame: 58 x 48 cm
Provenance: Purchased at the Anton Heyboer studio
Viewing is of course possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we use restorers from the industry association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
