Description from the seller
Blue and gold McCaviar Cornet with a black and white straw in a wall-mount frame by XTC.
Distortion of the McDonald’s cone, turned into pills to represent addiction.
This is not a cardboard McDonald’s cone; it was created from plastic materials and painted by XTC.
The frame is part of the artwork. It comes with a plastic glass, and you can display it with or without it, as shown in the first and second photos.
Signed and numbered out of 20 on the back, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
(The copy shipped may not be the same as the one in the photo)
Careful shipping and tracking.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration turned into a passion that was to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and even Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already thin boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration from, among others, Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, as well as advertising and addictions in general.
All possible flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
