Description from the seller

Exceptional sculpture by XTC Artist:

Large McDollars Cone in Red and 24k Gold:

It stands 19 cm tall, weighs about 1 kg, on a plexiglass (PMMA) base measuring 19 x 16 cm and 10 mm thick. Designed and crafted in molded resin, clad in 24-karat gold leaf (everything gilded is pure gold leaf, including the logo), painted in a deep red. Protected under a gloss as brilliant as it is durable, and of course filled with real $1 bills. XTC seal in black wax on the base, signed and numbered on the back of the cone.

This design will be produced in just 8 editions and 4 APs.

Probably XTC’s most iconic work to date, in red and gold.
A subversion of a McDonald’s cone—a luxurious future dish in a fast-food version?

Signed and numbered on the base, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The piece shipped may not be the exact one in the photo but will be similar.

Careful, tracked shipping.

Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration evolved into a passion that was meant to be realized.

XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligned with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.

His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.

He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.

Among others, he draws inspiration from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and advertising and addictions in general.

All potential flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
