Before the Storm - Hand-signed is a 40 x 40 cm giclée on canvas, hand-signed, limited edition of 20, produced in France and sold direct from the artist with a certificate of authenticity and framed-ready delivery.
Description from the seller
A deserted quay at the edge of a lake or bay. A sky of the end of the world — storm clouds of monumental blue-gray occupying three quarters of the canvas, pierced by a yellow beam of light breaking through a tear. Below, minuscule, two silhouettes face each other — a woman, a man, separated by a few meters and by all they have not said. A boat is moored to the right. No one else.
The Yack builds here his most openly Hopper-esque image — nature as an inner state, the storm as a metaphor for the conversation that has not yet taken place. Are they about to part or come together? The beam of light piercing the clouds perhaps answers — or perhaps not.
