Joachim Romain (born 1973) presents an original artwork titled No, a 2025 collage in street art style depicting a portrait, 50 × 40 cm, France, signed by hand, sold with a glass-floating frame and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Paris gallery CHENUS LONGHI presents “No,” an original work by artist Joachim Romain accompanied by its certificate of authenticity. A sublime piece characteristic of the series of urban posters torn and reassembled by the Parisian artist. The two letters “no” that gave the work its title appear in the composition and can offer an interesting reading of this female portrait. Joachim Romain truly works on the very essence of the city, and that is what we find here: the city that lets its layers, its accidents, and a form of raw poetry surface. Framed under glass in a floating manner, this work will bring its urban poetry to your collection.

About the artist:
Joachim Romain develops a practice anchored in urban space, where the act of reclaiming and transforming is central. From torn posters borrowed from the street, he composes works where fragments of images, textures and graphic signs mingle. His work explores notions of memory, disappearance and reconstruction, revealing the successive layers of reality. Between abstraction and figuration, his various series all have their roots in this urban material, collected in large cities around the world. On the street, he also creates three-dimensional wall installations that disrupt the everyday landscape. Concurrently, his photographic practice interrogates advertising images and our contemporary uses of visual consumption. With a decidedly international dimension — notably a residency in Istanbul in spring 2026, at the invitation of the Alliance Française, and a monumental installation at the Urban Art Biennale of Völklinger Hütte — his work is today presented in galleries and institutions, affirming its place in the current scene.
Joachim Romain is part of the street art movement, alongside artists such as Vhils, Invader, Shepard Fairey, JonOne, Kaws, Futura.
