Dacruz (born 1976) presents Le Paon, an original acrylic painting on canvas signed by hand in 2026, measuring 55 cm by 33 cm, in a multicoloured street art style depicting an animal motif with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
The Paris gallery CHENUS LONGHI “Le Paon” presents an original on canvas by the artist Dacruz, which comes with its certificate of authenticity. In this horizontal composition, Dacruz deploys a central animal figure, treated as a totemic motif. The peacock, symbol of gaze and vigilance, is here surrounded by a multitude of eyes that rhythm the surface and create an almost hypnotic dynamic. True to his visual vocabulary, the artist builds the whole around a structuring black line, within which are blocks of vivid colors and repeated motifs. The work draws on references that blend popular iconographies and tribal influences. Through its panoramic format and the richness of its motifs, “Le Paon” condenses the characteristic elements of Dacruz’s work, between studio painting and mural heritage.
• Original work signed on the front, and signed and dated on the back;
• Comes with its certificate of authenticity;
• Very careful packaging;
• Shipment with insurance and tracking;
• If you reside in the Paris region, you can come to collect the work directly at our gallery located in the 11th arrondissement.
About the artist
Dacruz is a French artist based in Paris, deeply rooted in the 19th arrondissement where he lives and works. Active since the late 1990s, he develops a universe immediately recognizable, populated by hybrid figures and creatures inspired by popular imagination, tattoo, and blended cultural references, nourished by his travels in South America in particular. His work first unfolds in the street, on the walls of Paris and internationally, where he creates vivid murals built around a strong black line. A fixture of the Paris scene, he is part of a generation of artists who have managed to connect graffiti, street art and muralism. Dacruz is aligned with the street art movement alongside artists such as Vhils, Invader, Shepard Fairey, JonOne, Kaws, Futura.
