Montblanc - 146 - Fountain pen

Here an exclusive Montblanc Meisterstück writing set from the late 1980s (pre-unification transition period), preserved in exceptional condition. The set was originally purchased at the historic and excellent Ercolessi boutique in Milan, as certified by the original warranty included.

1. Montblanc 146 LeGrand Fountain Pen (Piston Filler)
Production: “W. Germany” version, highly sought after by collectors for the quality of resin and finishes.

Conditions: NOS (New Old Stock). The pen has never been regularly used and still bears the original gold sticker on the barrel indicating the nib size (F) and the provenance.

Nib: 14K solid gold / 585 bi-color, size F (Fine).

Mechanism: Fluid piston filling and perfectly functioning. A preventive cleaning of the internal channels was performed to remove any residues of vintage ink; the seal is tight.

2. Montblanc Meisterstück Ballpoint Pen
Mechanism: Rotating, smooth and precise.

Conditions: Aesthetically excellent, cap and writing perfectly functional.

3. Condition report
Resin and Gold: The black “Precious Resin” is shiny; the gold plating is intact and gleaming.

Technical Note: For extreme precision, there is a slight hairline crack solely surface-level and aesthetic on the white star emblem of the cap of the fountain pen. The mark is stable and does not affect functionality or structural integrity of the piece.
