Alfred Émile Léopold Stevens, pupil of Navez and then Roqueplan. He exhibited in Brussels, at the Paris Salon where he became friends with the Impressionists Bazile, Manet, Berthe Morisot and Degas. He is represented in numerous museums around the world.
