Description from the seller
The Paris gallery CHENUS LONGHI presents you with “Heidi Point Omega,” an original work on paper by the artist Pro176 that comes with its certificate of authenticity. Pro176 deploys a visual language that is immediately identifiable, at the crossroads of graffiti, design, and painting. The face, fragmented into a rigorous geometric composition, is built from flat swaths of bright colors — orange, blue, yellow — structured by a network of clean black lines that recall as much the partitioning of a stained-glass window as certain cubist lineages. Originating from graffiti culture, Pro176 transposes here the energy of lettering into a more constructed painting. Heidi Point Omega thus sits within a search for balance between abstraction and figuration, and it succeeds!

About the artist
Pro176 is a major figure in French graffiti. He began in the early 1990s, a foundational period for the graffiti scene in Île-de-France. A member of the collective UB (Ultra Boys), he actively contributed to the rise of writing in France, developing a powerful and immediately identifiable style.
Over the years, his work evolves toward a more personal language, blending abstraction, lettering, and figures nourished by the universe of comics and American visual culture, to which are added influences from science fiction. On canvas as on the street, he builds dynamic compositions where forms fragment and recombine, conveying a search for movement, energy, and visual storytelling.
Today, Pro176 stands as an indispensable artist, at the crossroads of graffiti and urban contemporary art, with a rich, ever-evolving body of work.
Pro176 is rooted in the street art movement, alongside artists such as Vhils, Invader, Shepard Fairey, JonOne, Kaws, Futura.
