Mara. J XL - The Warm Hour

There exists an hour of the day when light stops illuminating and begins to caress. The Warm Hour is all there, suspended in that irrepeatable moment in which gold rests on everything — on leaves, on the earth, on the very air — and the whole world seems made of copper, pink, and amber. From below, dark terracotta rises like the memory of a day lived to the full; upward, the leaves dissolve into golden dust, almost impalpable, as if the light were slowly absorbing them. It is not sunset — it is the minute before sunset, when one already knows it is about to end and precisely for this reason becomes unbearably beautiful.
