Giclée print on museum‑quality A3 paper (29.7 x 42 cm, 300 g/m²) by SSICK, titled The Mushroom Kingdom Surrealism, 2026 edition limited to 1/5, signed by hand and sold directly from the artist in Italy.
Description from the seller
Giclée print on premium museum-quality paper, A3, 29.7 x 42 cm, 300 g/m², in a limited edition of only 5 copies.
This art print transports the viewer into a dreamlike, almost hallucinatory vision of the world of Super Mario. The scene captures the eternal conflict between Mario and Bowser, but through the aesthetics of material surrealism: the ground and blocks seem to melt like wax, while giant mushrooms with eyes float in the sky like biological airships.
Although it is a Giclée print, the work reproduces with incredible realism the texture of an oil painting, with rich brushstrokes that bring to life Bowser’s roaring flames and the depth of the blue sky. In the background, Peach’s castle appears as an island suspended among the clouds, completing a landscape that fuses the innocence of video games with the complexity of modern art. An impactful piece, rich in primary colors and symbolic details.
Production method: The process begins with a phase of concept exploration aided by digital tools for visual brainstorming, culminating in a fully manual painterly drafting. The artist then intervenes meticulously to define anatomy, apply proprietary textures, and consolidate their distinctive style.
