Giuseppe Balice (XX) - Puledro a testa bassa

Splendid modernist sculpture in cast bronze by the Italian artist Giuseppe Balice, active in the second half of the 20th century. The work depicts a young horse (foal) captured in a markedly expressive pose, with the head almost touching the ground and the body bent forward, taut to emphasize the thrust of the hind legs. The style is Balice’s typical one, characterized by a tactile, vibrant and dynamic surface, deliberately not polished, which catches the light by highlighting the volumes and the power of the animal.
