The work represents the transition of the piece from the exterior wall to the interior space of buildings. What is born on the street, in the urban and public context, is transferred inside buildings, houses, or museums, completely changing the environment and meaning. In this case the most interesting wall corner is selected and cut out—the one on which the street artist had carried out the external intervention. The fragment is thus detached from the original street context and transformed into an autonomous object. Once cut out, this piece of wall can be moved and placed indoors: in homes, palaces, museums, or other buildings. In this way the work changes environment and function, moving from the public and everyday space of the street to a private or institutional space, where it is preserved and exhibited as a true artistic object. All this represents a kind of imagined reconstruction by the artist, reflecting on the process of moving the work from the urban context to the domestic or museum one.
