Exceptional and museum-quality original vintage heliogravure, created and printed in 1936, by Man Ray, one of the most influential photographers and avant-garde artists of the 20th century, depicting Pablo Picasso in one of the most iconic portraits of modern art.
This work is not a later reproduction, posthumous print, or modern edition, but an original period impression from 1936, produced during Man Ray’s lifetime and dating from the year of creation.
Executed in the refined heliogravure (photogravure) process on paper, the work displays the exceptional tonal richness, depth, and subtle photographic detail characteristic of this prestigious printing technique.
