André-Émile Planson is a French painter born on April 10, 1898 in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre and died on September 29, 1981 in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Biography
After receiving the guidance of Paul Meslé, a local painter, he studied at the Ranson Academy (1917-1919) in Paris. With Roland Oudot, Maurice Brianchon, Christian Caillard, Roger Limouse and Raymond Legueult, he formed the group of the Painters of Poetic Reality. He became a member of the Académie des beaux-arts (1960).
The works of this artist are mainly preserved at the Musée André Planson in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre.
Pierre Mac-Orlan wrote an essay about him.
