M. Burgaz presents The Big Day, an original 2026 mixed media acrylic painting with epoxy resin, in Pop Art style, depicting an urban landscape, 50 × 40 cm, 2 kg, signed, sold directly from the artist and framed.
Description from the seller
This great day should be a little daily, flames caused by the arrows of love that Cupid shoots. But this happens only a few times; for some unlucky people it never happens. When the day arrives that infatuation arises, we should keep the flames burning so that love lasts. A work with many readings that is finished with epoxy resin to give it a shiny, hard, almost showroom or display-case character in which one cannot enter. This piece ships in a ready-to-hang cardboard box. Between May 28 and June 18 it cannot be sent because the artist is traveling.
María Burgaz (1970) knew from a very young age that art was her thing. She began her training at the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid, and earned a BA in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in Painting in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.
Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, Professional Football Foundation, Mujer y Sociedad, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, also appears in the collections of city councils such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, Diputación de Alicante…
She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and her work is also found in numerous private collections worldwide.
Her industrious and enthusiastic spirit has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers, and everything that allows her to express all that she carries inside. Her work always reveals the stage she is living, her vitality and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with a mastery of techniques that she combines and juxtaposes to create unique paintings of great narrative and technical richness.
Her works always include a certificate of authenticity and when they are works on canvas they are shipped rolled in a rigid tube for greater safety.
