THE WORK:
This piece stands out for the expressive force of the dog's gaze and the technical delicacy of the line etching. Through precise work of hatchings, lights and shadows, the artist builds a image full of character, texture and sensitivity. The composition conveys closeness and serenity, while the detail of the fur and the intensity of the gesture reveal a refined mastery of traditional printmaking.
The exclusive use of black ink enhances the graphic richness of the work and connects the piece with the classical tradition of engraving, while at the same time maintaining a contemporary sensibility. Beyond the animal portrait, the work evokes emotions related to fidelity, memory, and the emotional bond between humans and animals.
