Description from the seller

Technique: Mixed media on paper

This artwork reinterprets a vintage photographic scene through a layered mixed media approach, combining figurative elements with abstract textures, organic forms, and urban visual language.

The composition explores the tension between movement and stillness, as well as the transformation of memory through time and visual fragmentation. The figures, captured in motion, contrast with the textured and disrupted background, creating a sense of temporal dislocation and narrative ambiguity.

Developed through a multi-layered digital process, this work integrates photographic material, texture overlays, and gestural interventions to achieve depth and visual complexity.

This piece is presented as a unique artwork (1/1), not part of a series.

• Edition: Original edition unique 1/1.

About the artist :
Under the pseudonym "Posterized," Taras Melnyk, born in 1990, is emerging as a compelling new voice in contemporary art. Born in Ukraine and currently based in Paris, Melnyk's work serves as a vibrant bridge, both culturally and temporally. He is not just an artist, but a storyteller whose canvases recount the intricate tales of a dual heritage and a profound admiration for a bygone era.

A cornerstone of Melnyk's artistic identity lies in his background. Growing up between Ukraine and France, raised by a Ukrainian mother and a French father, he absorbed the nuances of both cultures from an early age.

This rich, bifurcated foundation is a constant undercurrent in his work. He seamlessly weaves together Eastern European sensibilities, perhaps a certain ruggedness or raw emotion—with Western European refinement, creating pieces that are both globally resonant and intimately personal.
