The work represents the passage of the piece from the exterior wall to the interior space of buildings. What is born on the street, in the urban and public context, is transferred inside of palaces, houses or museums, completely changing environment and meaning. In this case the most interesting wall corner is selected and cut out, the one on which the street artist had carried out his intervention on the outside. The fragment is then detached from the original street context and transformed into an autonomous object. Once cut out, this piece of wall can be transferred and placed inside: in homes, in buildings, in museums or in other edifices. In this way the artwork changes environment and function, moving from the public and daily space of the street to a private or institutional space, where it is preserved and exhibited as a true artistic object. All of this represents a kind of imagined reconstruction by the artist, reflecting on the process of moving the work from the urban context to the domestic or museum context.
