A. Dupré presents L’isola, an original oil painting (contemporary) dated 2020, sized 100 cm by 75 cm, signed by hand, in excellent condition, weighing 1 kg and produced in Italy.
Description from the seller
The painting has a contemporary figurative setup with an impressionist sensibility in the handling of light and color. The scene is built around the female figure seen from the back, a contemplative element that guides the eye toward the luminous seascape; the contrast between the intense red of the dress and the turquoise tones of the water immediately creates a strong chromatic balance. The brushwork is free and visible, especially on the rocks, the sea, and the architecture in the background, giving more importance to the atmosphere than to realistic detail. Also interesting is the “framed” composition by the side walls, which makes the observer seem to look out together with the figure onto the Mediterranean coastal landscape, evoking calm, emotional distance, and a nearly suspended dimension between interior and exterior.
