Kat Crosby, Thought I Knew the Answer, a 2017 original mixed-media on paper by Kat Crosby, 47 × 61 cm, signed, in excellent condition, USA origin, abstract style.
Description from the seller
Mixed media on paper
47 x 61 cm
Original signed work
Year: 2017
In this vibrant and gestural composition, Kat Crosby develops a dense and instinctive abstract universe where rapid movements, layers of matter and spontaneous calligraphic lines intersect.
The shades of icy blue, gray, white and bright yellow create an airy depth while the black strokes bring rhythm and tension to the whole. The work oscillates between controlled chaos and visual balance, in a very contemporary approach close to abstract expressionism and lyrical abstraction.
The handling of material and the freedom of gesture give this piece a strong visual presence while retaining great decorative elegance.
