Enrico Baj (1924-2003) - Plastiik

Enrico Baj produced 2 serigraphs and collages from the Plastik series of 1969, signed and numbered 46/75. The work represents an anthropomorphic figure or a fantastical animal typical of the Zoologia Fantastica series. In this period, Baj chose plastic as the symbolic material of industrial society; his collages are famous for using humble materials such as passementerie, buttons, and laces. One of the two works features undulations in the plastic support, and it is advisable to frame the piece behind two panes of glass.
