Description from the seller
Suzuki Violin Co. No. 702 classical guitar, made in Japan in 1966 (serial number is 660620).
This guitar is the best sounding Suzuki classical guitar I've ever played, however I am reluctantly putting it up for auction as I'm decluttering my collection.
The guitar has an old-school sound: it is warm, resonant and balanced. There is something dreamy and nostalgic about the sound. It has a loud volume for its size and it is perfect for both Classical and Folk music.
The bridge has lifted slightly but it is currently stable as is, in fact I have played the guitar without any problems with medium tension nylon strings so far. Also, I was thinking about raising the action a little bit in order to have a cleaner sound, but now I will leave this up to the preference of who will purchase it, because the guitar is very comfortable with the current string height. But these are minor details considering the desirable sound, the rarity of the guitar and the breathtaking wood patterns of the back, sides and neck.
Please check the photos carefully, they are the best way to understand the guitar's condition.
This guitar is around 60 years old, so adjust your expectations accordingly. It has scratches, blemishes and imperfections. It will feel different compared to a new instrument. It is playable but it hasn't been professionally setup, so there are things that can be done to improve its playability. I'd suggest it to people who have some experience with vintage guitars and are willing to make adjustments down the line, or who can embrace the imperfections in exchange for a special sound and vibe.
