About
Marino Marini (1901–1980) was one of the most significant Italian artists of the 20th century. He became famous especially for his expressive representations of riders and horses ("Cavallo e Cavaliere"), which have become icons of modern sculpture.
In addition to his sculptural work, Marini created an extensive graphic oeuvre characterized by a pared-down formal language and strong expressive power. His works are today represented in international museums and are in high demand on the art market."
