Biography
Ottmar Hörl studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and with Klaus Rinke at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. Since 1999 he has been a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg. The German conceptual artist works with diverse forms of expression and became internationally known through his time-limited large-scale projects with serially produced sculptures in public space. Art is for Ottmar Hörl an organizational principle and a reason for communication, intended to provoke thought and have an impact in society.
