Description from the seller
Title: "Letting Go" - Original Work - 80x60
"There is a form of serenity that does not arise from happiness, but from acceptance. This work, part of my collection of introspective portraits, captures the exact moment when pain transforms into learning.
That tear tracing the cheek is not one of bitter sadness; it is a tear of relief. It represents the instant when we finally let go of what weighed us down, so we can once again look toward the light. I’ve worked the contrast with a cool palette of blues and whites to emphasize the purity of that feeling. The darkness surrounding the face is not empty; it is the silence necessary for inner peace to blossom.
In painting this face, I sought to remind that even in our greatest vulnerability there exists a serene and powerful beauty. It is an invitation to embrace our shadows in order to see, clearly, our own light."
