Giorgio de Chirico, Cavallo e zebra, a 1974 lithograph in five colours, part of a limited edition XII/XXX, hand-signed, in excellent condition, depicting a horse and zebra galloping on a beach with a classical temple in the background.

Five-color lithograph, numbered (XII/XXX) by the Italian artist, master of the Metaphysical movement, Giorgio De Chirico (1888-1974), titled “Horse and Zebra,” from 1974. The work, which depicts a horse and a zebra galloping freely along a beach with in the background a classical temple, a defining element of much of De Chirico’s work, bears the artist’s dry seal, the dry seal “Alberto Caprini Stampatore in Roma,” the autograph signature, the title and the numbering (XII/XXX), inserted in pencil by the author. The dimensions are: 70x50.5 cm (sheet), 44x27.5 cm (plate).

The provenance of the work, as evidenced by the certification document that will be attached to the work and viewable in the photographic gallery, refers to the auction house “Studio d’Arte Borromeo,” located in Senago (MI). The condition of the work is perfect, excellent. Shipping of the lithograph will be carried out in adequately protected packaging to prevent damage during transport. Shipping costs for destinations outside the EU will be agreed with the purchaser.
