Mara. J XL - Amethyst Night

There is a hour, just after sunset, when the sky is not yet black but the violet has already taken possession of everything. Amethyst Night inhabits exactly that hour. The pictorial matter accumulates like crystals, layered and precious, alternating dense purple with almost tangible lavender. In the middle of this violet curtain, small coral-red specks appear here and there like distant embers or wild berries — the only warmth in a world ruled by the regal cold of violet. Lower down, the dark leaves barely surface, as if swallowed by the darkness, as if the night were slowly reclaiming what belongs to it. It is a painting that does not shout: it whispers. And precisely for this, it is impossible not to listen.
