TILLEUX Joseph
Antwerp 1896-1978. Painter of landscapes, cityscapes, street scenes and still lifes. Trained at the Antwerp Academy and at NHISKA (I. Opsomer, F. Courtens and F. Hens). Influenced mainly by Frans Hens. Paints in a luminous palette with loose brushwork. Often works in the surroundings of Lier, also in Germany, Spain and Italy. Teacher at the Academy of Dendermonde.

TILLEUX Joseph
Antwerpen 1896-1978. Schilder van landschappen, stadsgezichten, straattaferelen en stillevens. Opleiding aan de Academie van Antwerpen en aan het NHISKA (I. Opsomer, F. Courtens en F. Hens). Wordt vooral door Frans Hens beïnvloed. Schildert in een lumineus coloriet met vlotte penseelvoering. Werkt vaak in de omgeving van Lier, ook in Duitsland, Spanje en Italië. Leraar aan de Academie van Dendermonde.
