Phenix No. 170 classical guitar, manufactured in Japan in 1965, in good condition and weighing 2 kg, playable and functional with medium‑tension nylon strings, including a vintage case as an extra.
Description from the seller
Beautiful classical guitar Phenix No. 170 - made in Japan in 1965 (showa year 40, as written in the soundhole label).
Check out the video I recorded playing the guitar: https://youtu.be/rmONtiS2BdQ
It is playable and comfortable, with a warm, old school sound great for Classical and Folk music, played with fingers or with a pick. It has medium tension nylon strings. The guitar has cosmetic wear that gives it mojo and personality, however it looks good for having more than 60 years.
I am including a vintage case as an extra layer for shipping the guitar safely! The case is old, worn and it is not usable (the locks don't work properly, etc). Please consider it a gift to further protect the guitar while shipping.
Check the photos and the video carefully, they are the best way to understand the guitar's condition. This is a vintage instrument, it has blemishes and imperfections, so adjust your expectations accordingly. It is playable but it has not been professionally setup, so there may be things that can be done to improve its playability.I'd suggest it to people who have some experience with vintage guitars, or who can embrace the imperfections in exchange for a special sound and vibe.
