Montegrappa Miya Argento fountain pen with a solid .925 silver cap and a blue marbleised resin body, 135 mm long and 15.4 mm in diameter, one item from Italia dating to 2010–2020, in good used condition with minor signs and imperfections but in working order, nib: two-tone Montegrappa, size M, and it comes with the original case.
Description from the seller
This exquisite Montegrappa Miya presents an excellent state of preservation, combining the refinement of the cap in solid .925 silver with the luminous depth of its blue marbled resin body. The piece maintains an impeccable presence and an even shine on both the metal elements and the resin, evidencing very careful use.
The silver cap shows its characteristic guilloché with a sharp definition on all panels, with no appreciable wear and maintaining a silky polish typical of Italian craftsmanship. The clip, firm and perfectly aligned, is free of deformations and retains its original curvature. The official marks — including the ★1140VI seal and the 925 purity — remain deeply engraved and completely legible.
The blue mother-of-pearl resin body is in outstanding condition: no dents, no microcracks, and no opaque areas. Its spiral pattern offers intense reflections that change with the light, enhancing its artistic character. The lower ring, also in silver, preserves its shine and shows no significant signs of wear.
The two-tone Montegrappa nib, M point, maintains a solid appearance, although it shows a bit of wear from time and use. The decorative engraving is deep and clean, reflecting the quality that characterizes the brand. The feeder is in excellent condition, indicating moderate use and proper maintenance.
The closing and screwing systems operate smoothly and precisely, with no play or abnormal friction. The pen is delivered with its original Montegrappa case, which, although showing some signs of use on the exterior edges, preserves its integrity and adequately protects the piece.
Overall, it is a collectible pen, elegant and very well preserved, ready to be enjoyed both as a high-level writing instrument and to display in any showcase. A specimen that stands out for its beauty, quality, and state which is difficult to find in the current market.
