Description from the seller
This is a drawing by the Dutch artist Jaap Schreurs. Schreurs (1913–1983) was a Dutch painter and graphic artist who worked in a neo-figurative style. During his lifetime he produced an extensive body of paintings, gouaches, drawings, etchings, and linocuts.
After his death he left more than a thousand works. His family consulted various experts from leading Dutch museums, art journals and auction houses. They unanimously assessed the quality and originality of his work positively; several works were even considered to be of museum quality. On the advice of these experts the estate was carefully catalogued and professionally managed.
