Signed and dedicated by the artist on the bottom\n\nThe work is well framed\n\nArtwork measurements: 28 cm height x 52 cm width.\n\nFrame measurements: 50 cm height x 74 cm width.\n\nThe condition of the work is good\n\n::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::\n\nArtist biography:\n\n(1852-1936). Spanish painter. He began his training with his father, Juan Antonio Benlliure Tomás, a sailor, painter and decorator, and in the workshops of Domingo Marqués and González de Sepúlveda. He also stayed in Rome, alongside his brothers José, Juan Antonio and Mariano, but it was in Madrid and Bilbao where he practiced his craft as a decorator and restorer, painting simple Franciscan scenes, still lifes and flower vases. He helped his brothers finish the commissions and when Mariano was named director of the Museo Nacional de Arte Moderno; he called him to collaborate with him in decorating the rooms, later serving as curator and restorer of the Museum.
