The elegant wooden case contains a fountain pen, an inkwell bottle, a notebook with white parchment sheets with a wax seal bearing the Delta logo and a warranty certificate. This is a beautiful fountain pen from the famous Delta Pen company, in a numbered limited edition; only 70 specimens were produced. The pen is loaded with a side lever mechanism. Dedicated to the Colosseum (Flavian Amphitheatre), from 70 A.D. to 1996 C.E.. Colosseum Platinum Limited Edition is a writing object that reproduces in its colors and shapes the splendor and elegance of the ancient Roman world. Produced in a limited edition of only 70 pieces worldwide. Reserved and distributed exclusively in Italy. Characterized by the central band in pure platinum 950‰. It bears a relief engraving of ivy, the symbol of tenacity and fidelity, which, as a centuries-old guardian, clings with its roots to the walls worn by time, almost as if to protect what is most extraordinary that man has ever created. The Delta company artisans created this fountain pen with a CORPO (body) in a special resin hand-turned from a solid bar in yellow-gold mother-of-pearl and black. The nib is 750‰ gold with a platinum mask, decorated with a personalized, elastic “Celtic” 1500s design. The CLIP is made of a special highly elastic metal, platinum-coated: it features a wheel whose function is to ease insertion into a pocket. As for the CAP, at its end the monogram is applied. Its connection to the ink reservoir is strictly screw-in with a three-principle thread. To always obtain exact alignment of lever/clip, insert the reservoir with the lever perfectly aligned with the clip and screw clockwise. The REAL NIB (CENTRALE) presents a relief reproduction of ivy leaves, a characteristic ornamental element, in pure platinum 950‰. The LEVER is in platinum-coated metal and bears the edition year engraved.
Ancient and fascinating loading mechanism, simple to use, free from components subject to wear. This pen has never been used, a rare and highly sought-after collectible.
