Carfagno Danilo. This work entitled "Bust of Virgil" is one of the sculptures that are part of the exhibition "Ellenikos" held by the author in the 2000s with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Colli al Metauro in the Province of Pesaro-Urbino. Carfagno Danilo boasts annual solo exhibitions and publications in national art magazines. He is the illustrator of the Divine Comedy with 3 paintings of 6 m² each that he annually brings to his exhibitions. The work "Bust of Virgil" is a life-sized bust obtained by improvising it on a block of clay weighing 25 kg, with no preliminary drawing. It dried for 5 months and was fired at 980 degrees, then coated with liquid bronze and subsequently oxidized. It is a unique and original piece recently restored. The sculpture captures Virgil at the moment he tells Dante "Don't mind them, but look and pass." On the shoulders, the bust bears the author's signature and the inscription "Virgilio".
