The Waiting Room by LeYack, a 40 × 40 cm signed giclée on canvas from a limited edition of 20, produced in France, depicting a portrait in a Renaissance style with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
A maritime railway waiting room — dark woodwork, checkered tile, wooden benches, arched windows overlooking a rough sea and a stormy sky. A clock shows the time. A woman alone in a beige coat and golden gloves sits, hands folded on her lap, eyes lowered. A leather suitcase at her feet. In a corner, a conductor in uniform reads his newspaper, indifferent.
Here, Le Yack crafts an image of suspended time — between two trains, between two lives, between a decision and its execution. The oblique light entering through the left-side window slices the space into zones of shadow and light with the precision of a Flemish painter. The sea behind the glass is the only thing that moves. Everything else waits.
