Anton Martineau (1926–2017) was a Dutch artist: painter, draftsman, sculptor and poet. He worked in an expressive, figurative style and often depicted human emotions, relationships and existential themes.
His themes mainly include love, passion and dance, including the tango, in which he captured the rhythm and ardor of the dancers in lively lines and colors. Martineau exhibited internationally and his work is managed by the Anton Martineau Foundation.
