Gerhard Richter's Fence 2015 is a 35.5 × 27 cm limited-edition giclée in blue, grey and multicolour depicting architecture, unsigned and in excellent condition, edition 119/500, produced in 2015 in Germany and supplied from Heni Editions.
Description from the seller
Provenance: Directly acquired from Heni Editions.
Description: Gerhard Richter’s Fence (P13, 2015) is a facsimile after the artist’s 2008 oil painting from his renowned photo paintings series.
The original work was created by projecting a photograph onto canvas and meticulously painting it in precise tones. The result closely resembles a photographic image, enhanced by Richter’s signature blurring technique, which introduces a sense of ambiguity and unease. The dark, obscured area above the fence adds an ominous quality, leaving the viewer uncertain about the scene’s context whether deceptively quiet or subtly unsettling.
Fence (P13) extends this tension between photographic source and painterly interpretation. By engaging photography twice first in the original image and again in the facsimile the work reflects Richter’s ongoing exploration of image-making, perception, and abstraction.
Shipping information: The artwork will be securely packed in its original packaging. Shipping will be carried out with full insurance coverage.
