Josep Bofill, Buste, mixed technique, edition 176/275, Spain, 12 x 7 x 4 cm, hand-signed, modern style, in good condition.
Description from the seller
This piece was created by the Spanish artist Josep Bofill. Originating from an artistic family, he began at the age of fifteen painting frescoes together with his father in the Saint Andrew’s Chapel in Andorra. Soon afterwards he opened his own studio, where he experimented with new techniques in goldsmithing and ceramics. Bofill completed his training at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Barcelona, the city where he still lives and works.
In his art, Bofill combines traditional methods of sculpture and painting with modern techniques, including photography. Communication forms an important theme within his oeuvre. His works can be seen as expressions of juxtaposed oppositions, in which nature, society, culture, politics and science are continually brought into dialogue with one another.
Dimensions: 12 x 7 x 4
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition we have our own in-house framing shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, of course we would be happy to hear from you.
