Jan Kelderman (1914-1990) - Seascape

Jan Kelderman (Edam, 18 March 1914 - Amsterdam, 1990) was an Amsterdam trader and impressionist painter who sold his works himself and lived from the proceeds. He sold his paintings to companies, at exhibitions and markets, in hotels and in his regular café.
He mainly painted Amsterdam and Paris cityscapes, seascapes, flower still lifes, mountain landscapes, and winter landscapes.
He lived and worked in Hilversum and Amsterdam. From 1946 to 1950 he worked in Laren (North Holland) and in Eemnes, after which he moved back to Amsterdam.
