Cigar case - Wood - antique cigar box

This object is an antique wooden humidor (cigar chest), presumably in Victorian or Regency style from the 19th century. The chest is made from a dark, high-quality wood (such as rosewood or mahogany) and is finished with refined brass hardware on the corners and inlaid border lines. This type of chest was specifically used at the time to keep tobacco or cigars in optimal condition. The key is present but the mechanism no longer works. Minor restorations needed.
