Montblanc 144 Masterpiece fountain pen with a celluloid body, made in Germany in the second half of the 20th century, 12.6 cm long and 1.1 cm in diameter, featuring a 14‑k gold nib, in good used condition with minor aging signs and a functioning filling system with a cap that closes properly.
Description from the seller
Extremely rare Mondblanc 144 Masterpiece.
Meisterstuck The first model in the series, it was produced as Masterplace at the time of its release and has a completely celluloid body.
It was manufactured in Germany, and I estimate the production date to be between 1949 and 1951.I understand that the 144s had a long filling window, and due to cellulose discoloration, the body has a spectacularly ruined, discolored appearance.
The gold-plated embellishments are in excellent condition; the pen's nib is 14-karat 585 gold; the filling system works perfectly; and the cap closes flawlessly. The frame is defective; there are no cracks, only very minor imperfections may be visible due to its age.
It works very well and writes beautifully. Finding a Mondblanc 144 in this condition is quite difficult. With the cap closed, it measures 12.6 cm in height and 1.1 cm in thickness. Please examine the images carefully.
Please note that country customs duties are the responsibility of the buyer; please check your country's customs laws. All import taxes, including VAT, are the responsibility of the buyer.
PS.If you have any questions about customs, cargo, or pens, please ask; I would be happy to help.
