Description from the seller
Erik Toebosch (born in 1949 in Venlo) is a Dutch painter and graphic artist, known for his unique style that combines elements of spirituality, mythology and humor.
Toebosch' work is characterized by scenes from self-written fairy tales, myths and legends. Recurrent themes are death, spirituality and human symbolism. His paintings often feature motifs such as angels, crosses, hourglasses and shields, and his style shows similarities to Byzantine icon art, partly due to the use of gold paint. Despite the heavy themes, there is also room for humor and relativization in his work.
Dimensions: 57 x 45 cm
Dimensions with frame: 82 x 67 cm
No glass in front
Viewing is of course possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore we use restorers from the professional organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, of course we would be glad to hear from you.
