Max Kreijn – Palermo, a 1998 hand-signed aquarelle in the Impressionist style depicting architecture, original edition, 93 × 73 cm framed (63 × 46 cm sight), made in the Netherlands and sold by Galerie.
Description from the seller
Max Kreijn – Palermo
The composition consists of simplified forms and a vivid use of color, creating not so much a realistic representation, but rather a personal impression of the atmosphere and rhythm of the city. The work reflects Kreijn's fascination with travel and urban cultures.
After several years of studying architecture at the Technical University of Eindhoven, Kreijn continued his training in Monumental Art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Subsequently he took lessons under the guidance of, among others, R.B. Kitaj and David Hockney at the Royal College of Art in London. After his studies he first moved to the island of Ibiza and then to Assisi and Florence, where he devoted himself intensely to painting. For more than forty years the artist lived and worked in various countries, including Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Portugal, Thailand, Argentina, and Australia. This international background and broad artistic formation are reflected in his work, where architecture, atmosphere, and personal experience come together.
Dimensions: 63 x 46 cm
Framed size: 93 x 73 cm

Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary this year.
