Wahl-Eversharp Skyline fountain pen from the United States, made of dark green resin with a gold-plated striated cap, 14K gold nib, lever-fill, 13.3 cm long and 1.1 cm in diameter, in good used condition and fully functional.
Description from the seller
The fountain pen is in generally good overall condition, showing the signs of use typical of a vintage piece from its era, yet maintaining an excellent aesthetic and functional presence.
The deep green resin body preserves an attractive shine, with light micro-scratches visible under direct light, consistent with careful use over time. No cracks or deformations are apparent, and the structure remains solid.
The gold-plated cap, with its characteristic brushed finish, shows mild, uniform wear of the plating, especially noticeable in the more exposed areas, which adds an authentic patina in line with its age. The decorative rings stay well defined and in good structural condition.
The clip, signed “Eversharp,” retains its shape and function, with slight signs of use but no deformities. The cap closure mechanism functions correctly.
The lever-filler system has been serviced and is operational, ensuring proper function. The pen has been checked prior to sale, guaranteeing immediate usability.
The 14K gold nib is in very good condition, with no appreciable deformations, proper alignment, and a well-preserved tip, ready to offer smooth and fluid writing.
Overall, this is a well-preserved specimen, fully functional and with the charm of a classic fountain pen from the 1940s.
Conservation recommendations
We recommend using high-quality fountain pen inks, avoiding pigmented inks. If not used for a period, clean with lukewarm water, dry completely before storage, and keep in a dry place away from direct light and extreme temperatures. Always operate the filling system gently.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation. Happy bidding!
