The work stands out for its expressive use of color and a pronounced structural grain: a musician concentrated on his instrument sits beside a small table, on which glasses recall the typical atmosphere of a venue. The brushstrokes are broad, thick, and applied in dense touches, laid with a spatula and with abundant oil/acrylic paint, giving strong dynamism and tridimensionality to the surface.
There is a clear contrast between the cool tones of blue and azure that envelop the guitarist and the background, and the warm tones of orange, gold, and pink that illuminate the guitar and the upper part of the venue, creating vibrant and intimate lighting.
