"Portraits and Early Works are the photographs from Mario Giacomelli's beginnings. He starts by photographing his friends, relatives, colleagues and the workers of his ‘Tipografia Marchigiana’. He represents the everyday around him, but returns it to us with the form of his interiority. Therefore, the early works develop social themes (the portrait of humble people, workers, the daily life of peasants, the painful life of the elderly in a nursing home, that of seminarians who have no hands to caress their faces, the sick and the hopes of pilgrimages to Lourdes, the youth and their vision of love, the people of the South and the Southern question).
The portraits hold an atmosphere of mystery, of tactile carnality, in those tight crops of the images that decontextualize, in those deep blacks that seem to hide teeming presences, in those blinding and cruel whites, in those expressions of speaking faces."

SHIPPING and PACKING will be carried out professionally, and delivery will be via courier.

This Work will be insured for the full purchase value.
