Description from the seller

Japanese White Pine (Pinus parviflora) – 59 Years Old
An exceptional and highly refined specimen of Japanese White Pine, approximately 59 years old, showcasing the elegance and maturity that only decades of cultivation can achieve. This tree presents a beautifully structured moyogi (informal upright) silhouette, with a striking pyramidal balance, refined ramification, and a trunk full of character.
The bark displays a rich, aged texture, contrasting elegantly with the carefully wired branching, which enhances depth, movement, and visual harmony throughout the composition. Its slow growth habit—typical of high mountain pines—has resulted in dense, compact foliage and a highly controlled structure.
Imported directly from Japan in 2025, this specimen originates from traditional high-altitude cultivation, ensuring resilience, refinement, and authenticity.
What makes this specimen truly special
This is an extremely rare opportunity to acquire a Japanese White Pine grown from seed in Japan during the mid-1960s, yet classified within the European lineage—making it particularly scarce in today’s market.
Finding a tree of this age, with such developed deadwood character, trunk maturity, and structural integrity in this format is exceptionally difficult. Its presence is both sculptural and serene, making it suitable for:
High-level private collections
Bonsai exhibitions and museums
Premium garden focal points
This specimen has already been exhibited at the Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid as part of a temporary exhibition, reinforcing its artistic and horticultural value.
Container & Presentation
The tree is presented in an authentic Japanese artisan pot with the authors stamp, finished in a refined bronze tone, which enhances the visual weight and timeless aesthetic of the composition.
Estimated value of the pot: €200.
