*Klaus Prior (born 1945 in Wesel) is a Swiss sculptor, painter and draftsman. He studied painting at the Kunstgewerbeschule St. Gallen from 1967 and has lived and worked in Ticino since the 1970s. The human figure is at the center of his artistic work. In addition to painting, he devoted himself intensively to wood sculpture as well as bronze and iron sculptures. His works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in several European countries.
