About Svnder:
After completing academic studies at the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo, Svnder dedicated himself to painting with a focus on realism and hyperrealism. His work traces roots in classical techniques, but is guided by a contemporary sensibility that gives poetic depth to every subject. His works explore the emotional weight of silence, stillness and identity through precise and meticulous execution.
After formal training he traveled in Europe and the rest of the world, immersing himself in cultures and artistic traditions different to further refine his technique and expand his creative vision. This ongoing path constantly enriches his visual language and intensifies its expressive power.
Inspired by the timeless language of the great masters – including Caravaggio, Rembrandt and Vermeer – his gaze blends tradition and modernity in a continuous dialogue between memory, body and symbol.
The subjects of his works range from religious scenes and sacred figures reinterpreted in a contemporary key, to portraits with strong emotional impact, passing through mythical creatures, fallen angels, saints, martyrs and allegorical figures. There are references to classical art, Christian symbolism, Greek myth and pop culture filtered with irony. Each composition is built as an image suspended in time, where light and darkness, body and spirit, sacred and profane coexist in a dramatic and deeply human balance.
“For me, art is a moment of suspension — a space where time stands still and emotions take shape without words.”
His works have been exhibited internationally and are part of private collections throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
